Summary
For access or other purposes, you may want to build your own keyboards, mice, or other controllers. In this way, you can play any commercially available game, type words, or anything else that you can do with a regular keyboard (trying to solder switches to a ripped-apart keyboard is not as easy as it might seem). Keyboard and joystick emulators. Simply screw in switches to screw-on headers and plug it into your computer. The GP-Wiz joystick emulator plugs into your USB port, which may be extra convenient. DIY arcade controls
A good source of information on all kinds of possibilities. There are several suppliers of these interface-emulator products. You can even find one for the Sony PlayStation.
